Database bottlenecks removed with autoscaling on GKE

The challenge

Musi Hutan Persada, a South Sumatra industrial plantation operator supplying pulp and paper, faced database access problems when multiple branches queried data at the same time, which caused significant delays. It wanted a cloud solution and to migrate its applications to Google Cloud.

What we did

• Provided a comprehensive migration of the database and applications to Google Cloud for production
• Migrated from on-premises to the cloud with no disruption to business operations
• Implemented autoscaling in Google Kubernetes Engine to scale with traffic and reduce cost
• Used GKE for faster deployment than manual methods
